February with Adam Balkcom

Letting Go of Control:

How Control Is Keeping You Overwhelmed and Limiting Your Success

This session is all about the hidden cost of control — how trying to manage everything can actually keep you stuck, anxious, and focused on the wrong things. I’ll share some of my own experiences (including a few breakthroughs and hard lessons) from leading and growing companies, and how learning to let go changed everything.

We’ll talk about what it really looks like to lead with trust instead of fear — and how to stay grounded even when things feel messy or uncertain.

You’ll leave with a new perspective and some practical tools to:

  • Recognize when control is holding you back

  • Identify the fear that’s usually sitting underneath it

  • Shift your mindset and how you work

  • Re-center yourself around what matters most

It’s real. It’s honest. And if you’re willing to take the leap, it might just change the way you lead — for good.

Join us in February!

Meet Adam Balkcom

Adam began his career in the community management space in 2008, joining the board of his community in West Midtown, Atlanta. His passion for the industry grew with the founding of his first company, Anofit, which implemented wellness programs within apartment and condo communities.

He later launched Broadband Planning, a company focused on negotiating compensation for HOA and condo communities through broadband access agreements. After selling Broadband Planning, Adam became the National Consulting Manager for association bank. In this role, he helped community management company owners grow their portfolios, increase profits, and create more personal free time. He did this through curating CEO mastermind groups, with the first one launching in 2019.

The success of the CEO groups, coupled with his passion for helping business owners, inspired Adam to step out from the bank in 2022 to found CAM Leadership Institute (CLI). Today, CLI runs eight CEO groups and meets with over 100 management company owners and executives monthly, empowering them to grow and lead more profitable businesses.
